Subject is 55-year-old sedentary black male, an executive at a nearby computer corporation. His job requires him to be out of town two to three days per week, and he generally feels an inability to get everything done. He smokes 1½ packs of cigarettes a day. His mother died of a stroke at the age of 68, and his father died of a heart attack at the age of 70. Physical characteristics: Height = 70 inches, weight = 237 lbs., and body fat = 33%. His resting blood pressure is 130/85, and his resting pulse rate is 78. Part B: Client Workout Program
Utilizing content and concepts learned this semester recommend and develop 1 traditional strength training and one circuit based exercise program for this person. Program must adhere to all of ACSM’s training protocol regarding frequency, intensity and time. Please be sure to identify the specific goal of each training program ( upper body, split body, full body, etc). All specific muscles must be identified as they pertain to each exercise and the repetition and sets must accommodate the overall goal of the client goals. The client will utilize these training programs for a 6 week duration so be sure to incorporate a well rounded program that addresses cardiovascular conditioning, strength training and flexibility.
Summarization of Training Protocols:
