The second clause, then, will be in the subjunctive unless of course you choose to start with J’espère, Il espère or something else with the verb espérer, which we learned does NOT take the subjunctive even though it means “to hope.” Use aller, avoir, and être at least three times each and the tenth sentence can use any verb. Make sure you have 8 sentences that take the subjunctive in the second clause, and two that have the verb “espérer” in the first clause, which means they will take the indicative. Also make sure to switch between subjects in the second clause (don’t do all je, or all il/elle, etc). If written, skip lines between. If typed, Time New Roman 12 pt double-spaced.
